Top 5 News Sources
My top news source is definitely tiktok. While I know this might not be the most reliable source, it is actually where I get most of my information due to the fact that I scroll on it in my free time. It is always good to fact check what I find out from tiktok, but it helps keep me up to date with news happening in the social media world. I also get a lot of celebrity news from tiktok, and some of my favorite tiktoks are the ones about crime news. 
Another one of my most frequently used news sources is instagram. I know this can be just as bad as tiktok at times, but it is also a good source because you hear news from the person directly. Almost everyone has an instagram account, and if a celebrity is having a scandal, they would explain themselves and apologize on instagram. There's also many news accounts thats drag me in based on the picture they post on the explore page. 
When I am at home my main news source is news 12 long island. This is on my TV all the time, so it's safe to say I am always informed on what's happening on long island when I'm there. My Mom watches news 12 all the time and because of that it actually is where I find out a lot of information. Even if I'm not focused watching it I still find out so much just from it being on in the background. 
Google news is not something I look at a lot personally, however my mom reads all of google news when she is bored at work, and constantly sends me articles. Google news stories are usually a conversation topic at our family dinners. Google news has also helped me multiple times with finding information for classwork.
I do not usually choose to look at the apple news app, but I do end up getting information from there because I always get notifications. For the most part I ignore the apple news notifications but sometimes it draws me in. I actually want to start looking at this news app more because I do find out interesting information on it, and I feel it is more reliable then some of the other sources I use more often.
